Port Side Power Fenders – Ends fender hassle. Press a switch to lower. Press a switch to raise and store. It really is as simple as that – absolutely brilliant!
The Power Fender is our the lowest cost solution.
It supports centre hole fenders up to 8.5″ (22 cms.) x 20” (51 cms.) for small to mid-size cruisers. Deploy fenders from the cockpit without the need to climb on the bow or along side-decks.
The Power Fenders requires an electrical connection to the boat, a switch installation (usually on the helm) and 3 (provided) clamps. The line length (drop height) is set manually by operating the switches.
The Power Fender deploys the bow and mid-ship fenders with a single push of a switch without the need to climb onto the boat’s bow or along the side-deck.
The fenders are stored horizontally under the railing, almost invisibly. The Power Fenders are made of a very durable, white and shiny Polycarbonate/ABS material. They blend nicely with the boat; making them almost invisible.
Fender height from the water can be set to support different height fingers / docks / harbour walls and rafting/tethering (boat to boat) tying.
Operation and installation are simple: connecting three clamps, power connection to the boat (12V) and a panel switch installation. The switch comes wired and just needs to be installed on the panel. The cigarette lighter is a convenient option to connect the 12V.
Notes:
(1) It is usual to have the same number of fenders on the port and the starboard sides. Don’t forget to order for both sides!
(2) The Power Fenders are attached to the side rails of the boat with the supplied clamps
(3) If you don’t currently have centre-hole fenders, these should also be ordered.
(4) If you don’t want to, or can’t, wire the Power Fenders in, then look at our Automatic Fender and Automatic Fender Torque options. The “Torque” variant is for larger fenders.
(5) The Power Fenders come with the ordered amount of Power Fenders, all the parts required for a rail installation with a stanchion including clamps, 3 way switch, electric cable, bolts and nuts.
